Cookies are small files stored on your device by websites and apps.
Similar technologies include:

- Device storage used by Progressive Web Apps
2. How AnglerTally uses cookies and storage
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep users logged in
- Protect accounts and forms
- Remember preferences
- Support the registration process
- Support PWA installation
- Cache app assets
- Enable offline fallback pages
- Enable Poor Signal Mode / Match Day Offline Drafts
- Improve performance
- Understand app usage, if analytics are enabled
- Support payment flows through Stripe
3. Essential cookies and storage
These are needed for AnglerTally to work.
They may include:
- Login/session cookies
- CSRF/security cookies
- Registration wizard session storage
- App preference storage
- PWA service worker cache
- Offline fallback cache
- Local match-day drafts
Without these, parts of AnglerTally may not work properly.
4. PWA and offline storage
AnglerTally is a Progressive Web App.
If installed or used on your device, it may store app files locally so the app opens faster and can show an offline fallback page.
Match-day screens may also store drafts locally if signal is poor.
This may include:
- Angler names
- Peg numbers
- Section assignments
- Weights
- Statuses
- Notes
This data remains on your device until synced, cleared or removed.
5. Analytics cookies
If analytics are enabled, we may use analytics tools to understand how people use AnglerTally.
Analytics may collect:
- Pages visited
- Device type
- Browser
- App interactions
- Referring website
- Approximate location
Non-essential analytics will only be used where legally permitted and, where required, after consent.
We do not currently use a dedicated analytics provider. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
6. Payment cookies
Stripe or another payment provider may use cookies or similar technologies during checkout, subscription setup and payment processing.
These technologies are used for payment security, fraud prevention and payment completion.
7. Managing cookies and storage
You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
You can also clear site data, local storage or app data from your browser/device.
If you clear cookies or storage, you may:
- Be logged out
- Lose unsynced match drafts
- Need to restart registration
- Need to re-enter preferences
- Remove the app’s cached offline files
8. Shared devices
Do not use Poor Signal Mode on a shared device unless you understand that match draft data may be temporarily stored on that device.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time.
